I went to Mahabalipuram during my stay in channai of 7 days (place I really loved).
In morning got the AC bus around at 08:30 from CMST (Chennai Bus stand). The bus charged us Rs. 73 per head for mahabalipuram and it took approx. one and hour hoyr to reach Mahabalipuram. So we reached over there at 10:00. The way to Mahabalipuram was awesome – it was with sea on one side than Palm trees etc….. an amazing view. After reaching mahabalipuram, had typical south Indian Breakfast of Idli & Dosa. After Breakfast, we proceeded to see Sea Shore Temple. Really nice work of sculptures. Crowd at temple was awesome (for a change, very few south Indians), so I was happy as I could see some good faces around. Temple was on the shore of Sea, Sea full of Rocks & Palm Trees. Fro there we went to sea & climbed the rocks and all. From there we move move further to see some more sculptures & 5 rathas. In noon ate typical south Indian food in south Indian style. Banana leaf instead of plate than rice with Dal, Rassam , Sambhar, Curd etc (as others I didn’t understand …lol). Ate it with my hands instead of using spoon after leaking my fingers …. was a great fun. Around 2 o’ clock we moved back from mahabalipuram to Chennai. At 30 minutes distance from Mahabalipuram, there was a crocodile, Tortoise & snakes Park. Saw number (some on the verge of endanger species) of crocodiles, tortoise and snakes. From there, we moved to Kovalam Beach, it was another half an hour way from crocodile park. At that beach we went into water. Left that plce at around 5 & got an AC bus for Chennai. Reached home at 7:30. Don’t remember the way back journey as was bit tired so slept in the bus.
Anyways, the place was awesome. Nice place to date someone and also to F*** around with friends. So that was one of my best trips of my life …. I m lovin in that place.
